The guidelines specifically for freezer storage can be a little confusing, especially if you don't know the exact temperature. But understanding the different options can make life a lot easier .

These guidelines are for milk expressed for a full-term healthy baby. If your baby is ill, premature, or has a compromised immune system, definitely discuss storage guidelines with your doctor .

1-Freezer compartment of a mini-fridge: 2 weeks

2-Separate freezer of a refrigerator: 6 -12 months

3-Deep freezer: 1 year

If you switch from a less cold freezer to a more strong freezer (for example, a freezer compartment to a deep freezer) don't start the clock over from zero.

But, if you go the other direction, for example from a separate freezer to a compartment, start the timer over at zero.

I know this is a little confusing, so comment below if you have any questions!!
